DNAC Telemetry

Hi Guys,

I have 50 switches discovered in my DNAC DN-3 appliance.

On 45 of them I have successfully enabled telemetry, but on 5 of them I'm not able to get this working.

When I try to enable telemetry on the 5 non-working switches, I get the error "No Telemetry-applicable interfaces found!"

All devices are Catalyst 9300 switches. The configuration of them has been based on the same template. I don't see any major differences between the switches.

Any ideas to solve this issue?

Thanks,

Joris

What does your switchport configurations look like on these switches? The Catalyst Center doesn't seem to discover the interfaces as it should. The requirements for an interface to be considered telemetry applicable is outlined in the documentation linked below. Can you try to add "lan" to the interface description and resync the device to see if it would make a difference?

Hello,

The code is the same on all switches, 17.09.04a.

When I compare the telemetry section of a working switch and a non-working switch, the only difference is the source ip address.

All other configuration is identical. I do have multiple "telemetry ietf subscriptions" on every switch (also on those which are working). I don't know if that is normal...

Switch#show telemetry ietf subscription all

Hi...

The impacted switch did indeed not have a single port configured with the "lan" description...I have adapted the configuration. I did a resync and updated the telemetry settings and the issue was solved...

Thanks,

Joris
