CSR1000v vCUBE on Azure Cloud and Incoming SIP Trunk routing issue.

Hello guys,

I have deployed a CSR1000v on Azure Cloud. I cannot get an incoming call on the SIP Trunk working. The necessary ports on the Azure Network Security Group are opened. However I do not see any SIP packets (IN/OUT) on the vCUBE.

When using ISR4K Router, the SIP Trunk works fine with no issues.

The vCUBE has 1 interfacewith a private ip on the inside and public ip on the outside.

I can telnet the providers registrar IP's on port 5060 from vCUBE.

When making call from PSTN to the vCUBE, the provider sends a request timed out error.

Unfortunately at this time, I cannot test the outgoing calls.

I am using google dns in the vCUBE.

I did few tests already on Azure using several Network testing tool and the inbound and outbound rules seems to be fine.

Has anyone deployed such a vCUBE on Azure and is there any specific config on the Azure maybe I am missing?

Hi,

vCUBE is not yet supported in Azure/AWS. Roadmap will be March 2021– IOS-XE
17.5.1

According to Cisco Live.

Thank You but it seems to work for others with some Caveats ofcourse.

My issue seems to be more on Azure side as I see that Azure is rejecting the packets due to Network Security Group inbound Rules.

But I will still accept it as an answer as officially it isn't yet supported.

Thanks.
