Cisco HyperFlex Remote Plugin for VMware (vSphere 8.0 compatible)

Cisco recently (late Dec '23) released the v3.0 Cisco HyperFlex Remote Plugin for VMware vCenter.

• Supported Cisco HyperFlex Release: 5.0(2a) and later

• ESXi 6.7 U3 and later

• This plugin is compatible with vSphere 8.0 (the previous plug-in version, 2.2, is local only and local plug-ins are no longer supported as of vSphere 8.0).

Download caveats/issues:

• The https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286305544/type/286305994/release/  link from the Remote Plugin Installation and Registration section of both the HXDP 5.0  and HXDP 5.5 pages, is broken.
• For some strange reason, Cisco have only listed the plugin OVA on the HXDP 5.5(1a) download page and not on the Recommended Release HXDP 5.0(2e) download page, even though the latter version is supported by the plugin. 

(I was surprised that there was no announcement, as well as pleasantly surprised that it was even released. I was worried that further development on an integration like this would not be released due to the HXDP EOL announcement)
