DNAC error in Inventory - "Device Connectivity Failure"

Hi All,

I was about to upgrade the Edge switch in DNAC and found that it is showing "Device Connectivity Failure" error on the switche. Further opening the error it says:

" Device Connectivity Failure : NCIM12008: Connectivity to the device could not be established. The device may be busy or device reachability and/or line configuration may be having issues. Cisco DNA Center will attempt to resync with the device in sometime. "

What causing this issue and how to resolve it?

Can anyone share their experience or troubleshooting guide or anything to resolve this issue?

Regards,
B

Hi,

Have you made sure that the device is reachable from the DNAC? Try to login to the DNAC, and ping and SSH to the device and let us know how it goes?

Does the inventory log give you any more information about this issue?

magctl service logs -r apic-em-inventory-manager-service | grep NCIM12008

Thanks @rasmus.elmholt .

Solution:

The issue was with the access-list applied on the Edge Switch that was blocking SSH connection. Hence, "Device Connectivity Failure" error was showing. I did not look further as the issue was resolved by resolving the access-list issue.

Thanks everyone!

Hi,

Glad to hear you got it working.

Br,

Rasmus
