CML 2.8 : bridge configuration issue

Hello,

I bought CML 2.8 Personal 40 nodes. I'm running it on an ESXi 8.0 server.

I'm trying to configure several bridges. I followed the documentation in CML 2.8 Admin guide : "external connectors":

1) I create 2 bridges in the cockpit : bridge123 and bridge456. I disable IPv4 and IPv6 on both bridges.

Both bridges appear in System Administration / External Connectors

2) I then try to attach a different VM Ethernet interface to each bridge:

bridge123 => ens194 and bridge456 => ens192

When I select "Add member" => ens194 in bridge123, the entire list of my interfaces are added to the bridge (but only ens194 seems to be selected).

In Networking / Interfaces, all interfaces disappeared (as though there were all integrated into bridge123).

Then I try to add ens192 to Bridge456, I get the same behavior: the entire list of my interfaces are added to the bridge (but only ens162 seems to be selected).

We I come back to bridge123, it has no more members !

So it seems I can't add 1 member to a bridge.

Any idea ?

BR, Damien.

Hello,

I had to reinstall CML with version 2.7.2 to regain some stability to configure external connectors, bridges and vlans.

I also had the following error while updating the O.S. from the cockpit with CML 2.8:

Applying updates failed

Please resolve the issue and reload this page.

Error while installing package: installed grub-efi-amd64-signed package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 32

BTW, I was also unable to use an External Connector with 802.1q (CML 2.7). Only access mode seems to be possible. My initial goal was to connect a CML device to an external ESXi Port Group with multiple VLANs (yes ESXi Port Group was configured with id 4095).

Hope this helps ... and waiting for an updated CML 2.8 ... or > 2.8 !

BR, Damien.
