Installed CML free version, and then downloaded the Refplat file (refplat-20241016-freetier.iso), and mounted CD and then from the CML 2 System Maintenance Controls pressed the Copy Refplat ISO button. Saw messages that showed files being copied, after which I went into Lab portal and did not see any of the additional nodes beyond the initial ones that came with base install.
Tried restarting Ubuntu for giggles - no additional nodes and no joy. What am I missing here?

I'm not seeing any messages that apply to my situation. The install I did was a new install and had the CD mapped to the unzipped file "refplat-20241016-freetier-iso" that from what I have seen published applies to a fresh install. I watched it pick up the file and process it so I'm at a loss of what I might be missing here.

please make sure you dont start the VM before applying the needed settings...correctly map the refplatform iso on the CD/DVD.

Not sure is this Limitation of Free Tier, never tried Free Tier.
check Do you have enough space first ?
then follow the instructions. may be try creating new CML version Free tier and use general ISO to copy (instead of Free ISO)
just a suggestion to see if that works for you ?

As far as I know it’s not nodes, you can’t expand on more than five nodes on the free version and they images are scaled down, some features are not available (netconf/rest conf for example. In the free version free tier, you have a smaller refplat, which is just different platforms like ASAv. This is my understanding. The only way to get more nodes, features is to get the personal version.
