Downloaded new CML/VIRL 2.0 today.  ref platform iso does not appear to work.  OVA does not recognize it on setup and there are no cisco images avail in the labs.

using ver refplat_p-20200409-fcs.iso

redownloaded image and checked md5 hash, still does not appear to work.

Not sure if this helps you but in my experience, I used VMWare workstation and once I loaded the OVA I linked this .iso to the OVA to load. Working fine for me with that method.

thanks - thats exactly what i did.  The server doesn't recognize the iso file both during the initial build or after when i boot the VM and browse the Node and Image definitions.  Im using the iso that was uploaded yesterday 5/11/2020 refplat_p-20200409-fcs.iso

Nevermind - im a dummy.  i wasn't checking the connect at startup box, when selecting the image.

In your VM settings where you set the iso make sure the box above that is checked for the VM to load it upon boot.
