After receiving the 2.0.5.0 update on 3-May-2017, users are now receiving the following message:
When clicked, the entire screen turns grey except a "Cisco Proximity" title bar and empty window. Users can click a "Return to desktop" button to resume normal Windows desktop. This is occurring with several users and just started today. Previously, these users had v.2.0.4 installed.

Hello mneergaa,
The deployments occurred initially via our Microsoft Software Center app catalog, probably a managed installer but this most recent update appears to have been installed from within the application itself according to the log from that day. I cannot say without further investigation whether it was installed per user or per system. However, as of today, I have talked to a couple of users who had the problem message pop up several times during the day yesterday and today have not had any issues and I also have not been able to replicate the problem myself. The only thing that may have happened between yesterday and today is that the users logged off or restarted. If you find anything peculiar about the log file, I would be interested in your findings. Otherwise, problem self resolved. Thanks for your feedback.

Additional info: The affected systems are running Windows 7 Enterprise. Their physical proximity to a Cisco VC is not a factor affecting when they receive the pop up and users are able to share their screens on the VC. One user reported that, during a meeting, when a user joined in on the call, his screen went grey again and had to end the call and reconnect to resume sharing his screen.

Strange - I just tested at home (non-Cisco managed computer), but things went fine. (On Win10, though).

I have not been able to reproduce this locally. Could you send me a log file from proximity as this happens? They should be placed in your TEMP folder, you can open it by entering %TEMP% in the address bar of the file explorer. The file you are looking for should be named proximity_<date>_<some gurba>.log
Edit: Also, is the program installed per-user or per-system? Have you deployed the software to multiple machines? If so, how?
