Proximity finding video systems when in system tray

Hello, When Proximity is running in system tray, it shows "Finding video systems" but cannot connect by itself when nearby video device. You always need to double click it to open it's window and then it detect the system instantly. Is this by design behaviour or some issues on settings side? Version we are running is 2.0.8

I can give you the most likely hypothesis:

  • Proximity listens for audio using “shared mode” when it's in the background.
  • Your sound card has some set of “audio enhancements” enabled that prevent us from seeing ultrasound (e.g. a band pass filter) while in this mode.
  • When you open the app to the foreground, we switch to “exclusive” recording mode, in which other apps are unable to use the microphone.
  • In exclusive mode, enhancements are bypassed.

You can try disabling audio enhancements if you wish to be able to record while the application is in the background.

Thank you very much! It worked with disabling sound effects.

Do you know if this is solved in Proximity where it could also connect in background but without a need of disabling sound effects?

Forgot to mention that it is 3.0 version where this might be fixed?
