Is the specification for the pairing signal available / going to be published? To clarify, this is not the pairing or auth process, just the properties of the audio signal itself so that it can be utilised to provide a micro-location service for other tools (room control interfaces etc).
It would be nice to re-purpose this rather than placing bluetooth beacons (which travel through walls) or introducing a competing hf audio signal to the space.
