3650 upgrade help

This 3650 switch is in install mode and still takes 12 minutes to boot . Running 16.3.7.  Its a single switch and I have the priority at 15.  It acted the same at priority 1.  It hangs for 6 full minutes at the arrow below.  And, as soon as I'm able to logon, a show ver says it's been up 7 minutes which would be great if I had been able to logon 7 minutes earlier.  Is there anything I can do to improve the boot time?  What is it doing for the 6 minutes at the arrow?

thx

Tom

5 to 7 minutes - this is normal.

You already changed  priority so this is best you can do.

How to Ask The Cisco Community for Help

Is there any reason for running 16.X.X?
I am asking because I'd recommend 3.6.X.

Leo,

per my Cisco SE, he recommended moving to Denali as the 3.x code was planned on being phased out and Denali would be the long term code. My lifecycle management has included this code and all new switches are being put into production with 16.3.7 as there is a PoE bug in 16.3.5b that we are hitting.

What PoE bug ?

The PoE bugs are CSCvj76259 and CSCvd46008.
These bugs only appear on 3650/3850. These bugs have been first observed on 3.6.X and all the way to 16.X.X.
Unfortunately, this is not just a software bug but a hardware defect with the 3650/3850.
