Hi team
we have 1127-8PLTEP which needs to be licenseed. It is running 17.09.03a software code now. I just want to confirm if this model supports smart licensing ? if not to which version should I downgrade this to get the support for traditional licenses.
Appreciate your advise on this.

Perpetual license is from 16.9.X and earlier.
Not all 1100 router can support 16.9.X (or earlier).

For router, CSL support stars on 16.10.X.

Thank You very much for getting back.
I have a traditional license file for this device, does that means I have to downgrade the software version to below 16.10.x to install the traditional licenses ?
If I am to still use 17.09.03a version and want to utilize the traditional licenses, is there a way to convert the traditional license to smart licenses ?
Please advise

To install the traditional license, we've tried to downgrade the version to 16.9.x but we are getting the following error in downgrading.
Error: Package does not support PID:C1127-8PLTEP
Failed to boot file bootflash:c1100-universalk9_ias.16.09.08.SPA.bin

May I know what version should I use to install the traditional licenses ?

Thank you for getting back,
I think that is the case ,1127 only supports 16.10.x and above, so we have to anyway go for smart license.
supported hardare list for 16.9.x doesn't have 1127 listed.
I was initially confused as we have already had traditional license file for this device

One more thing to check, do we need security k9 licenses for configuring IPsec in C1127 node ?

k9 supports crypto and IPSec.
