more features? it is possible but I don't think so, not for E software. E (Ethernet switch) are unlike M or T releases for router IOS. 1st number is Major release software while 2nd one is Minor release number which indicates a significant changes like support for new hardware platforms, enhancements, and bug fixes for existing features and functions. 3rd number with ( ) is called Feature release number to indicate new features or functions. Then they use E or T or M, Finally, last number is the Maintenance rebuild number to indicate bugs, and other fixes.
Probably easiest way to find out what your version represents is from Release Notes in downloads section of Cisco IOS page site. Since new web format it is not east to find Downloads pages. I think it is still under support, look for All Downloads. There is also a tool called Cisco Feature Navigator.
