Please advise, I have 2 Cisco switches (WS-4500X-16) running VSS. according to the article below (see link) I should have a copy of running-config before doing a password reset? because I don't currently don't have running-config for these 2 switches. Question 2, if I change the switch domain and switch number when configuring VSS, will it affect the current running environment? Thanks
Yes, you should have a copy of running-config, because resetting password simply clears whole configuration so if you want to preserve configuration you should have copy of running config. If you don't need it just do it
