Scheduling a meeting for the current time with CreateMeeting, and then calling GetjoinurlMeeting is actually the best way to start an instant meeting. This can be made to appear as a single step to an end user, and gives you an opportunity to save the meeting key for any additional processing you may need on your end, such as also creating a join link for attendees using GetjoinurlMeeting.
