Cisco Jabber status not updating

We've got 2 phone systems, a primary one and secondary one at our other main site, both are running CUCM 11.0.1.21900-11 and CUCM IM & Presence 11.0.1.10000-6.

The issue we're having is that the Jabber clients, 11.9.3, sometimes struggle to update their status at all across multiple people, for example, someone can be on the phone for 10 minutes and Jabber will still say that they're available or even offline.  It won't be everyone that is effected and it won't be everyone on the person's contact list that is effected.

Any ideas why the status isn't updating, the Jabber clients are configured to use their deskphones for calls which are Cisco 8851s.

Hi, did you configure Inter-clustering in both of the IM&P servers? In IM&P go to "Presence -> Inter-clustering". IM&P #1 should be configured to point to IM&P #2, and vise versa.

And if it is already configured, you can go there and check the status. Maybe you'll see some error or something.

Nothing under there is currently configured at all, not sure if it needs to be so will speak with our support company in regards to that.  I'm currently looking at it as a potential issue with Cisco Jabber 11.9.3 client so rolled back to 11.9.2 for a few people to see if it alters anything.

If you want to share presence information between clusters you MUST configure the inter-clustering, otherwise it won't work.
You need to know, that inter-clustering between IM&P servers is only when in both clusters you are on the same domain. Otherwise, inter-clustering won't work and you'll have to do federation.
