Cisco Unity 15.0.1.12900-43 - Unable to add user - extension is use

My user profiles in Unity are based off LDAP profiles for each individual user.  So a build requires adding user into correct AD roles, importing user through the directory config in Unity, and then importing user.

I built a new user, brand new DN.  Import fails because "extension already exists in the partition". We only have one partition in this system currently.  Cannot find extension in a user search, exported all users, users with mailbox to .CSV and search for extension and it does not exist in the search.

To my knowledge, this DN has never been used.  Is there anyway to search in Unity and deeper, or ratify the DB to clear out any abandoned DN's?

So I looked through absolutely EVERYTHING.  It did not exist.  I was able to build the VM as a local user, and ratify that to the user's ad account and it is now working.

It doesn't have to be a number on another user voicemail box. It could be an alternate extension. It could be a number on a System Call Handler, or Interview Handler. It could be a number on a Call Routing Rule. It's in use somewhere.

If you absolutely cannot find it, you may be able to track it down using the Audiotext Manager for Connection.

That tool is primarily for managing System Call Handlers and other system objects, but one of its features is the ability to locate any object with a specified extension. The tool requires installation of ODBC drivers (https://ciscounitytools.com/Applications/CxN/InformixODBC/InformixODBC.html ) but once you have those installed you can use any number of the tools on the stie.
