Hi Brad - We have two different data centers each with their own Unity HA pair. What is the best way to allow users in each cluster to find and send messages to each other without consolidating all users to a single cluster?

Hi @David.roseSC. This can be accomplished using HTTPS networking between both cluster locations. You can find details explaining the feature here: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/15/https_networking/guide/b_15cuchttpsnet/b_15cuchttpsnet_chapter_00.html

Hey Brad,
Microsoft announced that starting October 1, 2026, Exchange Web Services (EWS) requests to Exchange Online will be blocked.
This retirement applies only to Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online environments. There are no changes to EWS in Exchange Server. EWS will continue to be fully supported for Exchange on-premises environments. Applications that rely on EWS for mail delivery will stop working once the deadline is reached.
Does this affect the Cisco Unity voicemail integration with Exchange Online?

Yes it does. I checked with our account team at Cisco a few weeks ago and they said it going to come a version that uses the Graph API for this instead of EWS. Likely it will be in SU4 or SU5 of version 15. Unsure on other versions as it wasn’t applicable to use since we are on version 15. The time plan is to have this out in early 2026.

Hi Brad,
Great Info! I have a problem where audio quality playing from CUC is sometimes garbled and jittery. Where do I start troubleshooting?
Thanks,
Mia

Hi @MiaColeman,
The best place to start is the audio quality troubleshooting guide here: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/15/troubleshooting/guide/b_15cuctsg/b_15cuctsg_chapter_01111.html
The quickest place to isolate is by running a network capture from CUC while reproducing the audio quality issue. The packet capture can then be played back to listen if the audio quality issue is sourced from CUC, or if it's leaving CUC clean. At that point you'll know it's somewhere upstream that's introducing the quality issue (network, or possibly telco issue depending on your call flow).
How to run a network capture from CUC (or on any VOS product for that matter): https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/voice-unified-communications/unity-connection/116190-qanda-product-00.html
