CUCM 12.5 / IM&P 12.5: 503 (Service Unavailable) when extending Presence Web Service Endpoint

I have the following constellation:

  • CUCM 12.5.1.10000-22
  • Cisco Unified CM IM and Presence: 12.5.1.10000-22

We use the "Presence Web Service Interface" to receive notifications about changes of the presence state of users/phones. Therefore we register with the IM&Presence Server and receive notifications about changes - which works most of the time fine.

The problem is when we extend the Endpoint-Registration (which we do every hour - no other operations are done), we sometimes receive the error code 503 (Service Unavailable).

The documentation lists the following descriptions about the code:

- Max CPU utilization reached

- Max number of requests per second reached

Both should not be the problem because nothing other is executing on the CUCM/IM&P so the server should not be overloaded. Also as we send only every hour a message to the server the max number of requests should not be reached.

 

The same konfiguration we have running with a CUCM/IM&P 11.5 without any problem.

 

Does anyone have an idea what the problem is or how I can check where the problem is?
