CUPS federation - CUPC vs Jabber

Have a CUPS/CUPC customer looking to implement XMPP & SIP Federation. They will be migrating the CUPC clients to Jabber for Windows in the next few months. When they do migrate to Jabber, will any of the federation work need to be re-done?

I think not being it is all on CUPS but want to confirm

Chances are if you are not updating the CUCM and CUPS server,  you will not need to do any "re-federation". It should just work. But if you are looking to have some of the new features in Jabber working then be ready to sit down and go through it. UDS/EDI will be involved.
