We are using CWMS 2.5 250 user. Last week our recordings were working fine. Meetings were recorded and playback worked. This week playback of previously recorded meetings stopped and new recordings will not play back. The player says "buffering" for about 30 seconds then gives "failed in getting list of recordings." No changes or upgrades to the system occurred in the last week. The NFS share for recordings appear to be fine. There are no warnings or errors in the admin portal.
Has anyone seen this before? Thanks.

Hi,
We've seen this kind of an issue happening when time is out of sync on Admin and Media VMs. This is a very rare scenario and can happen if Admin and Media VMs are not on the same ESXi host (which is not common as per documentation they should always be deployed on the same host).
Still, check the time on the ESXi hosts and ensure the time is in sync, NTP client is running and is configured to Start and Stop with Host.
If the time is off on Media VM, adjustment on the host hosting Media VM can be made live. However, if the time on Admin VM is off, then the system must be placed into Maintenance Mode, the VMs gracefully powered OFF (in vCenter right click VM > Power > Shut Down Guest) and then adjust the time. CWMS Database is very sensitive to time and any time corrections, so you shouldn't make the changes live on the host hosting Admin VM.
I hope this will help.

That was the issue. The VMs were on different ESX hosts. The time was off by three minutes. Restarted the NTP service on the hosts and the recordings are playing again.
Thanks for the help.
