Deploy Jabber without IMP capability?

I understand one can do this i.e. deploy Jabber with only softphone capabilities. Believe there are options when you deploy Jabber to ignore the IMP functionality - can't seem to find that document.

Couple things -

1) Can someone point me to that document?

2) Do you still need a IMP server to enable just the softphone feature?

Hi Marc,

Yes deploy and configure just CSF devices in CUCM without IM capabilities. Do you still need to stand up a IMP node for that?
