How to import cloud contacts (Gmail, etc) into Jabber via XML?

Hi there,

Is there a way to import via XML into Jabber a list of cloud contacts such as Gmail contacts or any other messaging system contacts?

Checking the Jabber Advanced Feature guide,

In order to add external contacts that are not AD contacts, do I have to exclusively use Federation?
