Jabber and XenDesktop 7.5+

We are trying to implement a Citrix Xendesktop on 2008R2 server solution. I can only find documentation that Jabber works with XenApp 6.5 which is an old application. Does anyone know if Jabber will work with Citrix's new product XenDesktop 7.5 or 7.6 and if so, does it work better as part of the published desktop or can it be run as a separately published application?
