Jabber Config EDI/BDI LDAP User Search - username/pass in config?

Quick question for you guys. I am thinking about moving to Query AD for our users phone information. Since you have to modify the Jabber Config to include an LDAP username and password are there any security concerns? that information will be clearly readable inside the XML file (stored on the users local workstation)

As you mention, that will be on clear text, so you need to make sure you use a read-only user for this.
