Hi Folks,
Our company uses e-directory for storing staff information, so in our CUP server -> Jabber Settings, we choose iplanet or sun one ldap server type, without any custom attribute mapping. But currently when I log in to Jabber for IPad, the contact lookup does not work. From wireshark traces it looks like Jabber does not even send the search context to the ldap server, and the ldap binding doesn't seem to happen. But if I enter the search context along with the bind username and password on the IPad native ldap account, it works just fine. I wonder if this type of ldap model is supported? Has any one got it working?
Any suggestion is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
regards
Chenzhe

Have you configure the jabber-config.xml for that to happen???

Thanks for the reply, I thought the jabber-config.xml does not apply to Jabber for IPad?
Latest update: I am able to look up contacts now, but all contacts are in the email format, plus that the information shown does not contain extension number.Am I right to say that the Jabber on Ipad 9.3 does not support attribute mapping in CUP?
thanks
