I have an HP 6735b laptop running Windows 7 32-bit SP1 that I can't get deskphone video to work on. The last thing I've done is to load the OS fresh from the disk. Then I installed Jabber and the Media Services Interface. The connection status for deskphone video in Jabber shows Unavailable and Unknown for the reason. I'm using a Microsoft Lifecam HD webcam for that. It shows up under the Video tab with a picture. It also works fine in softphone mode. It has a Broadcom gigabit network adapter. I have the same issue with all laptops of that model. We also have some 6755 laptops with the same issue.
There is literally no documentation on the MSI so I don't know where to go from here.
I do have an HP 8440w running Windows 7 64-bit SP1 that works just fine in deskphone mode with the same webcam attached. The only real difference I can think of is that it has an Intel NIC as opposed to the Broadcom.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I have tried it with both a 7945 and 7911. They both are Skinny. The one that works is using a 7945.
I have just tried the steps outlined in the other post with no luck. Same result.

I did some more testing on this. I installed both Windows 7 x64 SP1 and Windows XP x86 SP3 and they both still had the same result. It seems to be an issue with the hardware and the Cisco MSI.

Hi
Just a suggestion can you confirm you are on the latest phone firmware on the 7911?

Hi Ashish,
The 7911 is running SCCP11.9-3-1-1S. The 7945's are on SCCP45.9-3-1-1S
We are on CUCM 9.0.

What is the version of Medanet installed? (You can check this at Control Panel -> Administrative Tools ->Services. Click on the Cisco Media Services Interface service and it will show the MSI version number on the left).
It should be the latest one which is 3-2-1-1-5872.
Thanks,
