Hi,

Is it possible that if we want to add a new person in existing chat then instead of new window chat continues in existing window

To clarify, a new conversation must occur when escalating above two participants since a text conference XMPP JID must host the conversation. Additional people beyond the initial three that started a conference can be added mid-conversation.

No. That’s a protocol limitation of XMPP; a new conversation is hosted on the Text Conference Service.

FWIW- Webex Teams, despite not using XMPP, chose the same behavior: you cannot escalate a 1:1 conversation to multi-way. The argument provided is that it would violate the trust of your 1:1 conversation: the person you were conversing with may not appreciate others viewing what they viewed as a private dialog.

It should be possible that new person added see only consecutive conversation not any of the past conversation.
It also doesn't make sense to create new window everytime a new person is added, it completely defy purpose of group conversation.
