Jabber Guest Web plugin crashed on Windows

Jabber Guest Web plugin can not work under with some Windows client , it crash always.

I tried to use all browser (ie, firefox, chrome) but have the same issue.

I think the system is working fine because this issues occur with only some client.

Could you please help to answer the following questions:

1. How the crash happen? for example, when call get connected or before a call ?

2. What's your windows version? 32 bit or 64 bit ?

Hi,

1.I can install plugin completed, After fill URL on browser it display error as picture (before a call).

2.Windows 7 64 bit.

3.The problem occur with some machine of customers, My computer is working fine. I think system should be OK. The problem may occur from client.

4.I see only chip.log file from machine of customers. I'm not sure why it's not create chip.dmp file.

Hi,

There is a known crash bug related with Cameras:

and it is fixed in 10.6(9) - this problem looks similar.

Note that this defect is titled as "Jabber Guest Plug-in crash when laptop has two or more internal cameras", but actually the crash has no relationship with number of cameras.

Call this link: https://jabberguest.cisco.com/call/81152828, it will allow people to download latest 10.6(9) client image and then can have a try again.

Hi,

I've checked, My Jabber Guest Server version is 10.6.7.50. I'm not sure it affect this version or not.

But I will try to upgrade plugin from your link first. How to directly download Jabber guest plugin incase don't have link you provided. Thanks.

The plugin is coming with Jabber Guest server, so customer should upgrade their server, so that plugin can be downloaded from web page.

In case the link above is not accessible, try this link: https://reachme.cisco.com/call/81152828, it is also a 10.6(9) server.

Do not use these two links as a common channel to download new plugins.
