You use DNS SRV records for this purpose

hi jaime

Thanks but the document did not help me For clarification, The problem is when I am connected with the jabber to server X(cup-pub) and it crashed for some reason, jabber stop function. Only when I am directs it through the "Change connection settings" to server Y (cup-sub) I can return to function.

The question of how the jabber can make the change automatically  ?

Which version of Jabber for windows are you using? I believe you need Jabber4Win 9.1 or higher, latest I think is 9.2.2. High Available should work there. Also, you need to make sure high availability has a normal status, and all services are running on the servers, you can check under the cluster settings I believe in CUPS admin page. I did notice that it takes a few seconds when one server goes down, for the client to switch to the other server.
