That is a known issue for OSX 10.8. Bug ID CSCub62138.
LDAP not working in Mountain Lion 10.8.
Symptom: LDAP functionality will return no results.It has been observed that LDAP will even show as "connected" during this behavior.Conditions: This behavior is observed Jabber for MAC 8.6.x running on OSX 10.8 "Mountain Lion"However the behavior is not observed on OSX 10.7. Workaround:Change CUPS -> LDAP Profile to use a Global Catalog on port 3268.ORConfigure CUPS -> LDAP Profile to use the Domain Controller on port 389, and organize the LDAP tree such that all user directory numbers are located in the same OU (for example, OU=Users,DC=cisco,DC=com), the search base also needs to be updated to reference this OU.
