Jabber shows me offline

Hi there, I just started to use Jabber in my Dell Laptop latitude e6420 and I am new to it.

I have integrated Jabber for our Instant Messaging.Earlier we used Skype for these.

But when my senior wants to talk to me and click on my name Jabber status show me as Offline to them even when I am logged in. 

WIndows 10 Operating System

8GB Ram

1 TB hard disk

Please provide me Support for this issue.

When you login to Jabber are you able to change your presence status ?

Jabber showing offline could be multiple reason. Is it only happening with your user  or multiple users? If its happening with multiple users then i believe it could be something related to your IM address.

Do you guys use IM Address as "directory URI" ?
