Hi Folks,
Quick Question from our pre-sales team.
Can a company use Jabber via MRA (mobile users) as well as Jabber via Anyconnect VPN (fixed clients) *together*
eg.
Company A
User 1 wants to use Jabber softphone on iphone so uses MRA to connect to corporate network
User 2 has Jabber client on his laptop and so wishes to use VPN to connect to corporate network
Can both these users within company A use the separate methods of connecting and communicating concurrently?
Cheers, Steve.

Steve, I assume yes only because of the support for Jabber Guest accounts.....which definitely don't have VPN access.

Jabber clients using MRA will work in an environment with AnyConnect VPN. MRA will allow user 1 to use collaboration infrastructure without VPN, but he/she may need VPN for other use cases like network drives and such.
If user 2 connects to VPN first, the auto lookup steps that DNS take will recognize the client as on premises instead of using Expressways (if AnyConnect gives them local access to UCM).

as Xavier said .. the iPhone will use the MRA to connect and the laptop will be working as it's on-premises device because it's connected thro VPN ..

Yes, User-1 can connect over MRA and User-2 can connect using the Anyconnect VPN, Another thing in case user-2 is not connected with VPN still user-2 can connect ovr MRA using his desktop.
