Jabber Windows Directory - UDS or EDI

Hi All,

I'm looking at a Jabba deployment for 1000 users and I'm trying to decide if to use UDS or EDI for directory searching. Are there any major advantages over UDS other than simplicity? Can UDS sync fields outside of CUCM such as mobile, company, job title etc?

I think the plus is (as you say) simplicity, but the downside is a lack of flexibility in that you can't remap fields etc.

The other thing to consider is if you have contact pics in LDAP you can't access those using UDS, and have to have them in a web server accessed via tokenised URLs.

THere's also the issue that JfW is the only client that supports UDS at the moment - so if you have Macs, iPhones, Android etc they all use LDAP only. May as well use the same routine for all  the clients...
