I am setting up IM&P 12.5 to use an external database for messaging and ran into a strange issue. I kept receiving an error on the external database stating that a parameter was incorrect. It took me awhile to figure out what was going on but it ended up being an issue with the password. Apparently IM&P has an issue with long complex passwords when sending to SQL. I verified that the password worked when logging into SQL direct so presence must be truncating or something.
