Windows XP has Microsoft Office Communicator 2007R2 can Jabber for Windows 9.7.1 be on same PC same time?

Is it mandatory to un-install Microsoft Office Communicator 2007R2 client if I want to install Jabber for Windows 9.7.1

Since I believe they use the same interfaces, only one will behave properly and have control over presence in Office and click to call, it's not supported to have it this way from the Cisco side.

With Lync, it appears there are some more serious issues

CSCty89028    Jabber causes CUCILYNC to crash on sign-in, if installed on same machine
