Problem with <esc> key in screen share

I'm a CAD supporter at AECOM.  One of our users posted this dilemma:

-----------------

The issue I have with Jabber is when a user requests control of a remote users cursor during screen share, then presses the ESC key it will kill the remote control request. When using Revit/ AutoCad... this is a MAJOR issue. The ESC key is used as much as the ENTER key. Users can no longer effectively use Jabber to collaborate or troubleshoot via screen share. With Webex cursor control has to be handed off each time. Jabber does not have to hand off control each time and two users can control the cursor

-----------------

Is there another way to send an <esc> key into a remote session without impacting the screen share?

Thanks in advancce....

Hello Jack,

I ran into the same problem...

Luckily I remembered the <Host> key for VirtualBox.

It seems to work the same in Jabber.

For escape on the host machine just press {right-shift]+[Escape]

Kind regards,

Jack
