I'm sure this has been asked before but I cannot find an answer.
Instead of the jabber history being on C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Cisco\Unified Communications\Jabber\CSF\History\*.db
is there a way of saving it to a central server instead.
I tried copying the contents with a simple .cmd file when the user logs off. It does save all the info, but it becomes unreadable in SQLite.

The only option we provide to keep all the message history is to configure compliance in the CUPS/IM&P server so all messages are stored in a DB

Thanks,
Obviously the correct answer, but like everything else its not easy.
Looking at it, I have to set up a DB server, then configure the compliance.
Will carry on tomorrow...

Hi,
I have built a Windows 2008r2 server and put PostgreSQL on it.
I then opened Cisco Unified Presence Admin.
Went to messaging > External Server Setup > External Databases
Entered the DB Properties.
On the external database status the top one is ticked, its pingable, but the bottom one is not. It says Unable to execute the connectivity test because this external database server is not mapped to either the Message Archiver or Persistent Chat services.
When I go to messaging > Compliance, select message Archiver, I can select my new DB in the drop down. But when I save the screen just goes blank and nothing happens.
Any help appreciated....
Steve.
