Do have DNS srv ( Cisco-uds) records in place for service discovery ? Or are you setting imp's IP addreds on jabber client manually ? If it's manual then do host entries of cucm and imp on local laptop/desktop where u are trying to login into jabber.
And lastly, hope you have configured cti service on cucm and applied on end user properly.
