Webex android for voice mail not displaying voice mail notifications

Hello All, 

         We have recently configured Cisco unity and its working fine for jabber and IP phones no problems but I am prefer using Cisco Webex app for android as my MRA softphone client rather than jabber "for android".

the issue is that when I receive a voice mail the Webex does not display that there is a new voice mail "but jabber display it".

any how to let the Webex client display the voice mail notification just like jabber client.

Hi Mohammad,

Assuming your configuration is correct (video by Billy here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtHX0Hy4NlY), you'll want to ensure you enable all levels of the VMREST micro trace component on CUC (I created a video on how to enable traces here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22GEhUorrkY).  You'll also need to enable the jetty traces but these are enable/disabled via CLI only:

 

set cuc jetty requestlog enable
set cuc jetty stderrlog enable
set cuc jetty stdoutlog enable

Then ensure your CUC mailbox is empty and leave a new message.  When the notification bubble doesn't appear on the client, gather the following from CUC:

Cisco Tomcat
Cisco Tomcat Security
Connection Jetty
Connection Tomcat Application
EventViewer-Application Logs
EventViewer-System Logs

From the Webex teams app, gather a problem report as described in this video from Billy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOjzZWBTDXc

When your testing is complete, disable the jetty logs from CLI:

set cuc jetty requestlog disable
set cuc jetty stderrlog disable
set cuc jetty stdoutlog disable
