Hello everybody,
I have recorded a presentation session in Webex as .wrf file.
I have followed all the instructions and even made a bit of troubleshooting to start the conversion of the file to a WMV format that I can convert further to MP4.
Unfortunately, my Webex recording editor keeps on giving me the "Initializing the Conversion Failed".
I have Windows 7 and Windows media player 12.
Webex Recording Editor WBS 31 - 31.3.0.118
Webex Player WBS 31 - 31.3.0.118
Webex Recorder WBS 31 - 31.3.0.118
I need support to perform this conversion as the WRF format is not read externally.
Is there anything I can do about it? Other searches in this forum or elsewhere did not bring me to a successful result.
Converting a WebEx recording (.wrf) to Windows Media (.wmv) or Flash (.swf)
Thanks in advance

Kelli,
thanks for your reply.
My question is about converting from WRF to WMV and not about ARF.
I had read the mentioned Threads already but I did not find a solution for my case even trying some of the proposals.
I will try to contact the technical support: is there any specific and appropriate communication channel to follow?
Thanks,
Andrea

Hello,
I am experiencing this same issue. Trying to convert the WRF format to WMV using Webex Recording Editor. It throws this error, "Error: Initializing the conversion failed". What is the suggested resolution? Thanks!
