Created by: null on 05-05-2005 08:01:38 AM Hi Elam, I have disabled barge-in for both Voice and DTMF in an audio element , but when the application runs , it allows barge-in for DTMF. Can you help me to disable the barg-in for both?

Note that if you disable barge-in in the Audio element, it will apply to this element only, not the whole application. Setting the barge-in to false in the VoiceXML Properties on the application level will also not work, since the local element-scope barge-in property will take precedence.
You can either turn off barge-in in the elements you do not want to allow barge-in or use the bargeintype VoiceXML Property. This property will cause the prompt not be stopped until a complete match of an active grammar is detected. Input that does not match a grammar is ignored (note that this even applies during the timeout period). Note, however, that as a consequence, a nomatch event will never be generated in the case of hotword bargein.

I have selected both option in the settings pane and unticked the barge-in check box in Initial audio group for that element. But , it doesn't work for DTMF( allows for barge-in for DTMF). I am using audium 3.3 version. Cheers

Disabling barge-in should disbale both speech and DTMF input. If you are still allowed to barge-in with DTM it might be a browser issue.
Please double check the outputted VXML in the web browser that the barge-in is set to false for this element. You might want to try to replicate the issue using static vxml page.
