Is there a possibility to push a text (single line) to the phone to display it in the prompt line of an idle phone?

E.g. similar to the line "X missed calls" which disappears as soon as the user does any action on the phone.

Thanks
Stefan

Hi,

You can do that via CiscoIPPhoneStatus object. Details over here http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cuipph/all_models/xsi/7_1_3/xmlobjects.html#wp1033829

As well you could do that from a CTI application via TSP API call "phoneSetDisplay" related info over here http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/tapi_dev/7_1_3/interfaces.html#wp1016525

HTH. Regards,
Ram

Stefan,

Please note that it doesn't automatically dis-appear similar to missed call details... and one has to explicitly push for clearing the app status.

Be aware both the XML CiscoIPhoneStatus object and the TAPI phoneSetStatus features mentioned above will be going away with the next generation of Cisco phones (6900/8900, etc.)
