Resolution

This issue is likely a symptom of one of these possibilities:

  • Cisco bug ID CSCdy80350: The phone directory number does not change after logging in to Extension Mobility.

    For the workaround, try resetting the phone by pressing **#**. The correct directory number is shown after that.

  • Cisco bug ID CSCdv56387: The Cisco 7940 phone does not allow a second line with Extension Mobility.

    There is no workaround.

  • Cisco bug ID CSCdw35606: Unable to add a Cisco 7940 phone using the two line button template.

        There is no workaround.
