Hi,
I need some help getting the HelloWorld program running on the Genesys GVP platform. I have other applciations running on Genesys right now using both TTS & ASR without trouble.

Audium 3.3 is stalled with the correct license file and what I believe is the latest Genesys adapter. I was careful to follow the instructions outlined in the reame.txt that came with the adapter.

The URL used by Genesys for the HelloWorld program is copied below:
GVP URL
http://128.1.1.84:8080/Audium/Server?audium_application=Chapter1_HelloWorld

I also copied the popgateway logs from Genesys to maybe help shed some more light on the issue, by the log entry below it looks like Genesys just isn't finding the Audium HelloWord program. Any ehlp you can provide will be greatly appreciated....

Hi Will,

The possible reason might be that your application server and/or Audium are not running. Please verify that both the application server and Audium are running by executing [i:24b0f7aa2e]status[/i:24b0f7aa2e] script in the [b:24b0f7aa2e][AUDIUM_HOME]/admin [/b:24b0f7aa2e] folder.

You can also simulate a call by using your web browser. Type the URL of an Audium application in your web browser and check whether the VXML is produced. The URL should be the same as for Genesys browser:

http://128.1.1.84:8080/Audium/Server?audium_application=Chapter1_HelloWorld

Other than the applications, how can you tell whether the application server and or audium are running?

Also, when I placed the URL in the browser it did generate xml (I have attached the file containing the xml)

Hi Will,

The Genesys logs indicate that the voice browser couldn't find the URL. Please verify that your machine with Audium (128.1.1.84:8080) can be accessed from the voice browser's box.

You can check whether Audium is running in two ways. Either by calling into deployed applications or using status script. The status script will return the list of deployed applications , their status and number of active calls.

Checking the status of your application server can be done by using the base URL, in your case it would be http://128.1.1.84:8080. If the application server is running, it should return a default web page. Please refer to you application server's documentation for details.

The Audium server and Tomcat are running, when I type the URL http://128.1.1.84:8080 I get the tomcat home page, Also when I type the application URL from a browser Audium does genterate the VXML code (http://128.1.1.84:8080/Audium/Server?audium_application=Chapter1_HelloWorld ) you can view this VXML as I attached it to this thread yesterday.
My question is if the application URL is correct, why can't Genesys see the code, is it possible that I have the wrong Audium/Genesys adapter?

The issue is solved. Problem was with the incorrect deployment of Audium on Tomcat. When deploying a new war file, you have to remove not only the old war file but also the expanded folder from Tomcat's webapp folder.
