Dears,

I'm developing a desktop application; from its function is getting the IP address of the IP phone which is connected to same PC, and another function is getting IPs of the IP phones which is in my network. In my network I have about 20 PCs , every PC is connected to an IP phone, and every IP phone is connected to the network.
IP phone model is Cisco 7940 series.

I dont know how to start, and I will be so grateful If anyone can guide me in this issue.

Regards,
Amr

I've yet to see a working solution for this.  About the only mechanism available with any possibilities is Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP), which the 7940's support - I believe later models also support LLDP.

- It may be possible to query the attached switch/router to discover which phone and PC are connected to which port
- A custom network driver + app on the PC could use CDP to query the attached phone.  However, CDP is a proprietary protocol, and is not publicly documented or supported.

Do you think " Cisco Agent " Application using same protocol ??? because to use "cisco agent" from the same pc, I have to log on it with the same username i'm logging in the same cisco phone which i'm connected to.

and could you tell me more about this point

Thanks for your help
