We installed our application on the CUIS device but the
application throws an exception when it tries to access the google map
feature.  The device has the following phone load
cmterm-cius.9-1-1TT17-17SECdev.cop.sgn.  Here are the application's
implementation details:

When we added <uses-library
android:name="com.google.android.maps"/> in manifest .xml, the
application will not get installed.

When we added <uses-library
android:name="com.google.android.maps"
android:required="false"/>, our application will get installed but it will
throw an exception when it tries to start com.google.android.maps.MapActivity.

Please, let us know if you will support google map feature
and if there's a workaround to show map with the current phone load.

The beta software you are running does not support any of the Google APIs or applications.  These APIs and Appliications will be supported when the Cius is generally available.

You can upgrade to latest version of firmware for the Cius.  This should version should allow you to access the Google maps feature.

Cisco provides support for registering your Cius device with our RAVE DMZ lab in Galway, Ireland http://developer.cisco.com/web/cius-developer/remote-access-validation-environment-rave Registering will trigger an automatic Cius firmware update/install to the latest recommended version. For details and support on Cius registration with RAVE, please see the Upgrade Cius Firmware page on this site
