In order to check the number of calls rejected in a busy hour, review the peg counts. The peg counts are a mechanism that allow you to count Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) messages received and transmitted by the Service Engine (SE) and Edge Proxy (EP).
In order to view peg counts, perform this procedure:
- Log in to the Command-line Interface (CLI) of the SE or EP.
- Enter view log under context log-mgmt.
This shows you where the peg counts are logged (For example, localfile, syslog or Remote Logging Server (RLS)).
If the logging commands are located in the localfile, the log file is located under the element INSTALL_DIR/log.
If the logging commands are located in the syslog, the log file is located where you set up your syslog daemon.
If the logging commands are located in RLS, the log file is located where your remote server IP:PORT are running.
