Resolution

To verify the connectivity between DGW and MPDS, perform these steps:

  1. Log in to DGW.
  2. Issue the telnet localhost <8070> command.
  3. Change context to data-access by issuing the dsdgw> context data-access command.
  4. Issue the dsdgw[data-access]> db-status command from the Command Line Interface (CLI).

    This is a sample output:

    db-status  -i 192.168.XX.XX -p 1521 -s online -r 2 -u stand-by

    db-status  -i 192.168.XX.XX -p 1521 -s online -r 1 -u in-use

  5. Note: One MPDS is always in-use, and another should be on standby. If you see any of the db-status  offline, contact Cisco Technical Support.
