Core Issue

A subscriber must be associated with xyz\Administrator" error message appears randomly without any interruption of the functionalities

After the Cisco Unity 4.x server is rebooted, the application event log displays  random warnings, such as:

AvCsGateway: Find CsComponents failed, no access for xyz\Administrator with subscriber type=Unknown (err=0x80070005). A subscriber must be associated with xyz\Administrator

Resolution

The warning in the application event log means that when a Cisco Unity component performs an operation, it detects that the Administrator user is not associated with a subscriber.

In order to resolve this issue on the Cisco Unity server, complete these steps:

1. Open a command prompt.
   
   
2. Go to the Commserver folder.
   
   
3. Issue this command:
   
   GrantUnityAccess -u xyz\Administrator -s EAdmin

This causes the Administrator user to be associated with the EAdmin subscriber, which is recommended.
